Currently when designating an LPD area, the calculation only takes into account luminaires that are physically in that area. While this typically work fine inside a building/room; not so much for exterior applications. When a site area (i.e. parking lot) has luminaires located along the outside edge of the area being illuminated, those luminaires are currently ignored. The only way to include them is to increase the "area" for the LPD to encompass those luminaires, which leads to greater surface area than actual and therefore leads to inaccurate LPD calculation. Note: Lithonia's Visual lighting program for this operation requires the selection of the area and than the selection of associated luminaires - this leads to no unnecessary errors. Something between the current AGI auto selection of luminaires in area and additional manual selection of those outside the area would be useful.
